The Life-changing Love of Jesus through Watoto

Just simply I have been amazed to know and experience such love of God through the lives of the members of Watoto(a ministry which cares orphans in Uganda). Most of them in Watoto lost either one or both of their parents, had no education, no food, no houses, nobody could help them but through Watoto childcare ministry has been meeting their needs not only physical ones but also spiritual and educational ones.  

   I declare that this is good news I have ever looked for. This is the gospel; that is huge of God’s unconditional love upon us. The darker a place where we have to have gone through is, the brighter love of God within us has become, and the stronger and clearer God has allowed us to be His living witnesses. 　Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,””plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”    Genzo Mizuno, a Japanese poet said, “if we did not suffer, we would have been able to know and experience the greatness of God’s love. If Jesus did not suffer, he would not have been able to show His love on the cross to us.” Because of darkness, sufferings, ugliness and disgusting situations, the brightness of His love can be greater and greater upon those under darkness. This is God’s wisdom for us to know God’s awesomeness of His deliverance of our souls for us to be forever and ever humble before the very presence of God, Our lover.

   “Lord, let us die for you, let us through our lives glorify your name by being able to express hugeness and miraculousness of your Love to those who do not know you and who you are and why you created us for.  I love you Lord more than anything, I love you Lord with the wholeness of who I am before you as you created me to be. 皆さん「Watoto」ってご存じでしたか？僕はつい最近まで知りませんでした。アフリカには現在4-6千万人もの子供達が孤児をしています。彼らはエイズや、たえない戦争、内戦、飢餓、などによって片親または両親を失い、泥や、根をたべてなんとかその日一日づつを生き延びています。教育どころか、安心して生活できる家族もなく、人としての歩みのすべてが崩壊している現状です。そんな中、「ワトト・チャイルドケア・ミニストリー」は立ち上げられ、彼らに家、服、食べ物、教育、家族を与えて、どれほど創造主なる天の神がひとりひとりを限りなく愛し、ひとりひとりの人生に言葉では言い表せない祝福のご計画をもっているかを伝えています。絶望で打ちひしがれていた幼いことども立ちが、いま希望と喜びによって、ウガンダの明日へのリーダーになるために立ち上がっています。彼らは現状の苦しさに決して心やられることなく、神の愛と希望に心を満たされています。それを1994年以来、歌と踊りにして世界中を駆けめぐり、「どんな逆境の中にも、神の愛は僕たちを見捨てず、喜びと希望とビジョンで現在を満たしてくださる」っというメッセージを放ち続けています。http://www.watoto.jp/(もっと詳しくワトトを知りたい方へ)

僕の大好きな水野源三さん（クリスチャンの詩人）の詩です。

「もしも私が苦しまなかったら　神さまの愛を知らなかった

多くの人が苦しまなかったら　神さまの愛は伝えられなかった

もしも　主イエスさまが苦しまなかったら　神さまの愛は現れなかった」

この世界には「死んでしまったほうがいい」と誘惑されるほど苦しいことが起こります。でも、この狂った状況の中で、僕たち一人一人を造られた神がおられること、その神がひとりひとりを限りなく愛し、ひとりひとりの毎日に関わっておられること、どれほどひとりひとりに希望と、喜び、生きる平安、祝福のご計画をもっておられるかという神の真理の声に気付くことができます。なんとう神の知恵でしょうか。ワトトのこどもたちは、世界で一番不幸といえる状況に生まれました。でも、見てください。彼らは「私たちは世界でもっとも幸福です。なぜなら、イエスさまがこんなにも愛して、新しい家族、友達を与えて、毎日養ってくださっているからです。」と確信をもって答えています。本当のいける証人は、苦しい状況のまっただ中にあっても、なお神さまの愛と、喜び、希望を信じ、受け取り、今それらを体験し、満たされている人です。
