みんな、たくさんのさよならぱーてーをありがとう。

NYI gave a party for me and my Japanese friends too for the first time in my seminary-days. NYIフィリピンが初めて日本人を対象にパーティーを開いてくださいました。そして僕はすてきなショルダーバッグをプレゼントされました！（超感激！）

Thanks God for giving me such sweet friends of mine that they showed their hearts to me leaving for a far place for a time. I am pretty sure after awhile, I will be realizing how precious, helpful, enjoyable they were when I was in Manila. They will continually be my treasure for our lives. 

なんとまぁ、僕は祝されたくさんの愛らしい、すばらしい友達に囲まれ、愛されてきたのでしょう。上記は僕が帰国する一週間前にみんなが僕にしてくださった「出発パーティー」の様子です。僕はまたすぐに帰ってきます。それに受けためぐみを神さまに何十倍、なん何百倍にもしていただいて、多くの友達たちに還元していきたいです。 

Reverse Culture shock in Japan.

Nov 25th, 2008 in a limited express. 

I am now observing Japan society, I do not know why but I cannot deny I feel bit uncomfortable. By the time I arrived, no even before it, on the plain I saw beautiful night view of Osaka. Every roads, buildings seem well organized, there is no traffic jam controlled by traffic lights. In order to get to Nagoya as fast as possible, I chose to take a limited express Osaka International airport to Shin-Osaka, and Osaka to Nagoya I took a bullet train. All the tickets costed around P3,500(That too expensive but no choice to get Nagoya earlier) 

          Now I try to analyze things as an international person compared with cultures in the Philippines, weaknesses in Japan society with such hight-technology could be that people’s hearts are very cold, they do not learn to be more patient, I saw an old lady who was struggling with her big bag and tried to put it on an aisle next to her but all of a sudden a hurrying man glared at her and gave her message “give me a way!” then by force he pushed her bag toward her then he disappeared. In the Philippines it almost never be seen. They would be smile or even help an old lady. 

         The train I am taking now is extremely comfortable, very silent, perfect air temperature, people are not chatting loudly. But people without knowledge know that those who bother others will be cut off from its community and even need to be punished. It scares me after adjusting to the Philippine culture.   

     逆カルチャーショック　

今関西空港から新大阪に向かうＪＲの特急はるかに乗ってカルチャーショックを受けました。となりにいる70ほどの女性に突然中年の男性が現れ、無言の中で、彼女の旅行鞄が通路にはみ出しているというので彼女をにらみつけ、鞄を彼女に押しつけて通り過ぎていきました。これは5秒間の間におこったことです。フィリピンではまずあり得ない光景じゃないかなぁって思いました。きっと多くのフィリピンのクウヤ（兄弟の意）、アテ（姉妹の意）は、ほほえむくらいの人間的余裕があるとおもいます。

飛行機の中から大阪の美しいすべてが均整のとれた夜景をみて、日本はなんと整えられた国だろうと思わされ、どころ見渡しても小さなゴミ一つさえもないきれいな駅の通路をみて日本の社会全体としてのサービスのよさに感心していました。しかし日本人の人としてのこころの豊かさはどうだろうとおもいきや、このぶっきらぼうな男性のとっさにとった行動は多くの日本人が自然に他者にしてしまう光景ではないかとおもい心が痛みます。日本人の村八分精神がまだしっかりと健在していることをみました。ルールをまもるならばよい、しかし、出た釘はしっかりとたたかれ、裁かれます。健康なすみよい社会とはどんなものでしょう？

      I was in a trouble after Tata, a driver of APNTS saw me off at the airport, the total weight of my baggage was 36 kilograms, it supposed to be only 15 kilograms for deposit and 7 kilograms for hand-curry so my luggage exceeded 14 kilograms, then I PAID extra 4400 pesos!!!Sayang! What a waist! (You should’ve checked the weight in advance said by myself) but blessedly the lady at the counter discounted 1200 pesos=3 kilograms. I gave a coconut soap to her(because she said it is not allowed, she smiled at me, anyway..)ととほ、せっかく出発まえにおなじ神学生の蔦田先生、中出さんに荷造りを手伝っていただいたのに、約9000円もの超過料金を空港で取られました。受付のお姉さんとかなり、きびしく責めてくる兄ちゃんの機嫌をかなり取りつつ、ディスカウントをねだった結果、2800円（3キロ分）ほどまけてくれましたが、荷物の重さを安易に考えていた自分への良い教訓となりました。彼らは僕のトランペットを見つけて、ほんとに僕のかどうかを聞いてきて、吹けといわれたので仕方なく、ちょっとだけのりで音を出して見せました。（機嫌をとっていましたから） 

Farewell party by Dr.Lee Sang Young and Korean friends

11/24/2008 I got a mail from Dr. Lee Sang Young for a Sayonara party. She is a psychologist and teaching even other subjects at APNTS. And she always encourages students especially Japanese students to follow Christ and study well. She invited two more korean couples who are my dear friends for this final night in Manila before going back to Japan. 

     She cooked Kimchi chige, Burukogi, and several traditional side dishes, they all were amazingly tasty!!! Thanks so much for your heart upon such a poor Japanese student. And blessedly the korean friends were the ones who invited me also for a farewell party but could not get a chance for it. So it was kinda miracle we all met at Dr. Lee’s house. Praise the Lord. I have been greatly encouraged to learn Koran language because I can little guess what they are talking about. And I want be a good friend of them beyond nationalities, whatever the past may be, we can serve the Lord together as one.  

韓国のお友達によるお別れ会 韓国のお友達とお別れ会をする時間がなく残念がっていた矢先、ＡＰＮＴＳで心理学を専門とする韓国の先生が帰国前の最後の晩に夕食に招いてくださり、みんなでたのしいキムチ鍋、プルコギやなどなどを食べることができましたあ~たのしかった！というのは彼らは韓国人であるのに日本人に心を開き、こころの触れる会話ができたからです。一人一人が僕を励まして、これからの日本の宣教に思いをはせてくれました。みんなありがとうね。また、彼らは韓国語を互いにしゃべっているのをみて、僕もかれらの会話の中に入りたいと深く思い、韓国語を真剣にやらねばと再決意できた夜でした。なぜなら、日本と韓国はこれからもっともっと仲良くなって一緒に宣教をしていきます。Praise the Lord. 

Trip to Rosales/ロサレスへの小旅行

I am on my vacation in Rosales in Pangasinan, 5 hours northern by a bus from Manila. Since my friend, Toyoda family invited me for 2 night-3 days break, I visited their place where Wesleyan Bible College is. I have really enjoyed everything I experienced such as playing with their soooo cute baby, Kinomi(fruit of a tree), taking his dog for a walk, going grocery shopping, cooking meals, playing my cornet with Madam Kyoko, having good fellowships with students, stuff, teachers and a work-&-witness team etc. That place was sooo silent but enjoyable with various sounds of birds, chicken, dogs, cats, and lizards. 

今回で大学の先生2学期めの豊田宣教師（まじめそうに見えて結構ジョークいっぱいの授業）

あっという間の2泊三日の旅、今回はじめてマニラから北に、車で5時間ほどの距離にあるルサレスという場所にあるウエスレアン聖書大学に遊びにいきました。神学校時代2年半一緒に生活した常喜さんの招待で実現しました。フィリピン滞在記の最後になると思われるこの小旅行はとても充実し、一週間前までの勉強の缶詰の日々をすっかり忘れさせてくれる休暇となりました。

かわいい大粒の黒目しかない希乃実ちゃん（３ヶ月）と遊び、お風呂に入れるのを手伝い、寝かしつつ（実は何度も失敗）、子育ての特訓をなぜか受けました。（修了したのかどうか微妙ですが...）また豊田夫妻と楽しい団らんの時を持つことができました。豊田夫妻は神学校を卒業してすぐにこの大学に赴任し、教鞭を取り始めたばかり、その様子をみて、僕自身の日本に帰国してからの進路を祈りつつ、模索することのできた意味深い時でもありました。お世話になった豊田家のみなさんとっても感謝します。今度再会する時は、木乃実ちゃんがもう小学生になってたりして....?

Pasta of Life! Part 3.

Look at these various pasta, salad, deserts etc! Their taste was soooo Good! That night on Oct.17th was the due day of all the papers of 1st semester(to me? It was the last due day of my entire seminary days! PTL! I could somehow pass this day!) We had a ball with new comers, Tsutada family, Nakade husband and wife for this party. I give thank to God who gave us such a refreshing hour after a ton of papers. 

フー! 今日（10/17/08)はすべての課題の提出日の〆切日、この日までにほぼ（？）あらゆる大きな課題を出さなければこの「命のパスタフェスタ」に参加できなかったのですが、なんとか緊急の課題を終わらせ、生まれて初めてつくるカルボナーラを大急ぎで作り、イタリアン持ち寄りパーティーに間にあわせられました。今回でこのような宣教師の家を開放してのパーティは3度目で、つかの間のリフレッシュの時となりました。このような国境を越えた心の交わりがこれからもずっとつづきますに。

Nazarene Centennial Celebration!

にわか雨で芝生がぬかるになった中での（3pm-10pmなが~い）100年祭

On Oct.5th, 2008 Praise the Lord that Church of Nazarene has just reached 100 years of God’s presence and His unimaginable blessings upon all what God has done through us with many churches, educational, medical, and social institutions in various ways across 151 countries. More than 2000 people visited at APNTS for the event on that whole day. Each of us has been spiritually so challenged for another centennial period. May God continually use us as His disposals in order to reach out the lost in everywhere in the world.

小さな神学校のキャンパスに人人人。

10月5日2008年世界ナザレン教会は100週年を迎え大イベントがＡＰＮＴＳで開催されました。2000人以上の人が世界各地からあつまり、どれだけ過去一世紀、神さまがナザレン教会を愛し、祝福してくださったかを実感しました。また、主が新たな100年、この教会を主のご用のためにただ用いてくださるようにと皆一つ心になって祈り求めました。

100人の聖歌隊によるハレルヤコーラス、編曲された聖歌やコンテンポラリーソングをもちいたワーシップがもたれました。
